When the product is industrial in character, a polished stand fights it. Lora's furniture uses raw metal, visible fixings and unfinished timber as design language, so a stand in sprayed white panel would have made the range look like a compromise.
The stand was built in the same vocabulary: exposed structure, metal and timber in combination, open volumes rather than closed rooms. The discipline in a project like this is that "raw" still has to be built precisely — a deliberately exposed weld or bolt is only convincing if it is neat, otherwise it reads as a mistake rather than a decision.
What we did
- Stand built in the same material vocabulary as the product
- Exposed structure and visible fixings, executed cleanly
- Open volumes instead of closed rooms
- Workshop atmosphere consistent with the brand's positioning
