The stand as built
There is a version of a large furniture stand that competes with its own product: strong colour, heavy structure, a lot of graphic. It photographs well and sells nothing, because the visitor remembers the stand.
This one went the other way. The structure is quiet — straight lines, few materials, no decorative moves — and the money went into surface quality and lighting instead. That is a harder discipline than it sounds: with nothing to distract the eye, every joint, every reveal and every alignment is visible, so the tolerance in production has to be tighter, not looser.
